savegames sometimes not showing up

I just startet Cleo via nvidia gamestream and wondered why my saves are all gone. The game seems to use different locations for the savegame files. When startet directly via the .exe the savegames created when launched through steam don't show up and vice versa.

Yes! You are correct. I had the same problem. And I solved it like this:

1. Get sure that you enter always from Steam. DO NOT use the EXE file directly. This will enable your profile and will avoid some freezes/hangs in the game later. It will also store the save games under your steam profile name.

2. If you have saves that were stored without a profile you will have to rename them

SAVES ARE STORED HERE
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Christoph Schultz\CleoAPiratesTale

FROM
save.cleo0
save.cleo1
save.cleo2

TO
(save.cleo + PROFILENAME + Number)
PROFILENAME is the name displayed on the lower right of the game main menu.
save.cleoMyprofile0
save.cleoMyprofile1
save.cleoMyprofile2
