Any "legendary company" is just one game release or game update away from being a trash company, so what's the point of getting emotionally attached to one like that? Jagex was sold to investors back in the early 2010's, and they've made numerous mistakes since then, this was merely one of the latest in the series. Or to give a different example, take a look at CDPR: everyone loved them until Cyberpunk released, which crashed down their reputation.

Of course you can. I'm pretty sure we've always been and remain the majority of the playerbase. I can't say I get the relevance of it to playing the game.
