I also like that this game seems like it has a proper evil option, that I hope gets fully fleshed out. Nearly no game bothers at all with evil, slaps it in there on release, or the only evil you can do is "kill everything", which isn't really evil, that's just killing everything.
I play a lot of city builders and resource management games but have been disappointed by every single "god" game that ive played because of the UX of the B&W franchise. Its best to leave that genre tag off if it isn't even going to try and light a candle.
I am so excited to see where you have taken the spirit of such a game.
I check regularly for a release date and hope things keep going well for development.
This is just my personal opinion but it comes from watching other titles drop a date ---> postpone ----> Radio Silence.
The PR fallout can be mitigated if you have a strong communication with the community.. dev blogs, tech blogs, frequent posts / updates .. but steam threads turn into this when there are postponments.

The Kingmakers boards are filled with vitriol from people that are angry at the silence or cannot deal with delayed gratification. Either way its a bad look for the developer.
