Like many others, I was attracted by the prospect of a modern Black & White game. However, the tutorial itself was boring and uninspiring.

In a game where I role play a "god" my focus should be on doing things like performing miracles, smiting heretics, growing my followers, battling other gods, and influencing my people through a prophet. Instead, I am a "god" who is also mayor, general, farmer, miner, developer, urban planner, engineer, and psychiatrist. I am micromanaging myself to boredom. If I, as a "god", am going to make a building then shouldn't it be made instantly? Why do I have to wait for my people to construct it? Didn't I just put the building down? If my people are going to make it they should handle where it is placed and perhaps I can specify development zones for where to place certain buildings? If I inspire them to build I could see it taking a few years.

The maps are weird. I started on the top of this giant ass mountain. I'm guessing at some point my people would have been able to leave to invade the nearby settlements but I couldn't strategize that exodus because it looked like they would need to leave Mt. Kilimanjaro to go anywhere else.

Managing people is just weird. I don't want to manage each person. They should change management to be done from the temple. Orders are given and a certain number of citizens can be assigned to farm, build up the town based on our victory goals, serve as soldiers if needed, and perform other duties. This makes it way easier than clicking on each individual person...

I understand the devs want feedback so I thought I would provide some here. As of now I will refund and wait for the game to be out of Early Access. I do not enjoy funding pipe dreams - which right now this game is.
