I'm using a Xbox Elite Series 1 controller on both W11 and Arch Linux.
On Windows everything works fine without Steam Input, just the Linux version has a mapping problem with the buttons, Start and Select are mapped to RB and LB respectively.
I opened a ticket at their helpdesk for this issue, maybe you should do the same? Link is in one of the pinned threads here in the discussions.
