excellent auto battle it even uses skills. But against some bosses u will have to be more tactical and turn it off, definetely against the later ones

Auto-battle is a classic inspiration for DQ games as you cannot choice what skills your friends uses. You choose roles instead of giving exact instructions and this hardens somehwat the game. Only protagonist should be able to use the skills to be a real DQ game.

I think, it's not the intended way to play a modern DQ game.

I use it for regular enemies. I do manual for bosses.

What was your level?

I currently have mine set as auto battle with 1 character set to focus healing and the rest to not hold back. I set to use pep powers on as well. Then I set the battle to fastest. It really speeds up combat. The only drawback to autobattle is it won't autosteal for you. If you want Erik to steal then you have to set him to manual.
