The new Goo Containers are great but please make them buildable in toxic areas
Having a container that can be placed outside to store goo to be retrieved by drones is great but I could already do that with a foundation grid and a normal container. IMO, the real issue is that you can't build in toxic areas which means you always have to leave to deal with it. It would be great if the Goo Containers bypassed that restriction.

As a workaround for above, you could use logistics on the rover to send goo back to base and you can park that in toxic zones.

Also, they hold less than a T2 locker (72 vs 80} while having a bigger footprint.

And you cannot use logistics for things like toxin or microplastic. Only goo, toxic water and toxic spores. I see why they did that since those are primary collection items so not that big of a deal but they could be more useful.
There is no reason to hold toxic water because the collector has storage and you can send the water to a detox machine directly. Same if you are collecting spores, the harvester has storage and collecting by hand does not yield that many.

Sure, I already had a bunch of workarounds before the update. My point is that they've added a unique container for the express purpose of making goo collection less onerous but they've done so in such a way that it's negligibly better than existing solutions. With 1 iron, 2 super alloy, and a circuit board, I can accomplish the same thing with an grid foundation and a T2 Locker (with a slightly larger slot count, as you mentioned). The Goo Container costs a poly and a silicon which means the only benefit is that it requires 2 less backpack slots to carry the materials to build it.

You could argue that since T2 Locker requires an end-game BP, Goo Container is allowing that type of big storage before you have T2 Lockers but you will likely get access to T2 Lockers before the Drone Station and even then, T1 Lockers will do just fine.

Regardless, it feels like Goo Container solves a problem that most people didn't have and my suggestion would give it a way to stand out by having a unique advantage over the other options.

The big thing that helps is that the container unlocks at 280kPu. This would be way before you get the trade rocket and enough TT to get the T2 Storage Cabinet. The goo container also only requires materials that are available from the start, not late game materials.

These can also be less annoying than the regular Storage Cabinet because Iron. 3 Iron per container can quickly deplete the area's Iron.

It's no hardship to jet out of the toxic zone and dump into a Goo storage.

Yep, that's how I worked it. Setup storage just at the edge and dodged in and out till done.

Me too - I mean, me three! ;-)

Your forgetting 1 detail, obtaining circuits requires at least a t2 deconstruction chip that requires zeolite to craft, i have yet to find zeolite anywhere on toxicity.

The goo container can be used for more than just toxic goo, it can also be used for any of the toxic materials goo, toxic water and spores, in heavily toxic areas like the dome or the stone trees it can be a great time saver.

1.Obtaining circuit boards from the deconstructable servers requires a T2 deconstruction chip, but making them does not.

2. Zeolite can be extracted as soon as you can place a T2 ore extractor, found in chest, or picked from the little roots sticking up, once a certain TI level is reached.

Here is a tip, to deal with Toxic Goo, fly just to the outside of the toxic zone, build a 3 by 3 platform , two single living quarters on top of it they can fit and not overlap the edges, build a teleporter in it that will take you back to your main base or storage places, place four storage lockers inside it. If you can build drones, then designate two for Toxic Goo and then set them to supply Toxic Goo. Go back to your warehouse and build Tier 2 Storage containers for Toxic Goo, and set them to demand Toxic Goo. Your drones will automatically come grab any goo you place in those lockers and fly them back to your main storage area. Then you can use that "mini base" to clean up the whole area, and let your drones do the work, you can set them to pick up what ever you want , repeat the process with Toxic Water, etc. Toxic Spores, Uranium or what ever else you collect in the clean up process. , Not only can you grab air there, it is close to your decontamination site, and allows you to work with out as much interruption or waiting.

Making them requires a Zeolite and a Nitrogen Cartridge. The Nitrogen Cartridge requires a Gas Extractor, that requires two Zeolite and for you to be far enough along terraformation. The circuit board also requires that you are at at least 160GTi. In other words, making them is a fair bit harder than salvaging them.

This, but I agree that the new Goo Container helps quite a bit. You get it way, way earlier than T2 Locker Storage and it's much easier to craft. I will be using it for the rest of my playthrough.
