If you are playing modded try launching without them on? If not try getting your save from the cloud if that doesn't work.

the "legit battle symbols" mod is known for such issues, when you start the game once with it it will unlock all symbols for all librarians, but it may also prevent you from pressing "continue" on the next launch.
just disable it, you don't need it after starting the game with it once
