Sound and Audio problem!
I have quite a wierd problem here... Only the radio is working for me when it comes to sound. The rest of the game is pretty much silent. My SFX is set to max, so that is not the issue here. Any ideas to what might be wrong, and a possible fix as well? :)

I have this issue as well. :-( It used to work fine, and now I have no sound. Music works fine, but cars are silent when driving.

Edit : found out what was wrong. My headphones are surround but my speakers are stereo. I had unplugged my headphones, but for some reason Windows stayed in 5.1 surround. I put everything back to stereo, both in Windows and in-game and now it works.

Check your Windows sound settings, make sure everything's default. Lower hardware acceleration if possible.

Had this same problem, cutscenes and radio are normal volume, but vehicles and in-game sounds are almost completely silent. I don't use headphones and my sound settings are all default, so I am unsure of what the problem is.

I have this problem. Or had. Cant tell yet. But in windows settings I had Full Range on. Sounds like turning it off made some difference.

After a few hour ***ckery I found out, that all problems were due to wrong sound card driver.

so then how do we rectify the situation of very little audio?
