what triggers spawns

im playing on very hard but it seems impossible, so it seems like in every game ever, u should min max the crap out of the game in order to be able to have a chance and in order to do that u must know exactly what skills are crap and what not... (i always start games on highest difficulties)

biggest issue i have is with timing, so what triggers spawns, how much time do i actually have before i get overwhelmed with gazilion rats? i go fast, i die, i go slow, i die aswell, my chars cant even one shot grunts cuz of that stupid 3-9dmg mechanic...

I think the spawns trigger every xx rounds. Like, 3-4 I'd say. After shortcuting the circuit, every 1-2.

As for the min-max. Dude, start using full overwatch with the support mode on for infinite venting. Let the monsters come to you, move only after killing a wave with ease.

the hardest part of the whole game were the first 3 missions, after that it got progressively easier with the exception of the boss fights, i replayed the start several times, also i unlocked some other chars who are just more overpower than the one you start with when u start completely fresh game
