And I just have one question... If you're settling on a hostile planet on the run from rampant singularity AI, is it really a good idea to rely on automated defenses? (Not even getting into the genetic diversity problem etc.)
Anyway, you've got my attention - will be keeping an eye on this title.
Now that i think about it, it is one massive flaw. Well you can also say that it's either you on your own against many machines or you plus some auto turrets that maybe not guarantee your success but at least might keep you alive for a fairly long time. But i understand what you mean, lore-wise it makes no sense.
Hope you stick around
Love that you're actually giving the story some thought!!!
Relying on autonomous weapons is not a good idea but you really have no other choice. You can't defend yourself against the attacking AI on your own, you'll be over run in about 10 minutes. You have to rely on your cyber warfare defences holding up between yourself, the drone, the Sentry's and your ship.
I don't want to give too much more away, but I try to integrate some of my views on the futility of a tech arms race, flaws of the human condition, evolution and humanity's troubled past.
I'm really glad you like the concept of the game, I've been getting a lot of positive feedback and I hope to make it better from the feedback I receive.
I dont know why but it feels like that at the end of the days that he will change his mind and awareness and join the Ai and fight against me :D
Like in i Robot movie with Will Smith.
I´m Shocked now :O
