Definitely one of the best games I've played this year (and last year) though.
Top 50? Maybe. Top 100? Yeah, probably. But if I were writing the list, I'd put Hades 1, since it was more groundbreaking. Hades 2 is arguably better at least in many aspects but it doesn't have the groundbreaking part. Sort of the same issue as Doom/Doom 2.
is it a good game? sure, the ending kinda meh though
is it one of the all time greats? maybe to some, probably not to most
Chrono Trigger ?
No, it's not quite there (despites the main Time theme).
Great game, though.
Definitely in the highest tier of 2025, which seems to be a great year for Indie games.
If it's just modern times then yeah I could see it
except maybe enter the gungeon
( and I do love hades 1 and 2 and gunfire reborn and deadlink and all the other very distinctly different experiences one can have )
