they don't work when I'm trying to adjust them with mouse, specifically, settings sliders, whenever there are many cards like with choices or in collection and the map. Everything is scrollable with mouse wheel except for settings sliders.

before the update I could hold down the mouse on a card and release it to play it but now I have to click twice instead.

If it matters, I play the game on Linux with Proton. By the way, I see people mentioning achievements not working with Steam but that doesn't seem to be a problem for me.
