Corrupted Save Game
Until the day before yesterday (July 8th), I was working on my "project" without any problems. When I tried to load the save game today, it didn't work. The message "Corrupted Game State" appeared. The autosave save games are also affected.

I suspect it's related to the new version 1.17. The save game is from version 1.16.

Does anyone have any idea what I can do? Is the save game salvageable? It's taken months of work (approximately 1,000 hours of gameplay).

It might be a bug in the save loader of 1.17.1. Try downgrading to 1.16, the file should be fine. Or test again with 1.17.2, to be released later today.

Downgrading to 1.16 wasn't possible. There were only versions 1.15 and older available.
But after another patch some minutes ago it is now working again :-)

Just for future reference you would do this by opting out of all beta versions, as 1.16 is the latest non-beta release :)
