Carp fishing is of course included, but not like RF, where you need a thousand things.
There is also fly fishing.
You don't have to grind for bait. You either complete tasks and get them, or you just buy them in the store.
Just buy the game, you can't go wrong
2) Yes there is Carp fishing... There is a lot of Carp Species including 4 different Koi Carp species on DLC China map.
3) You do not have to grind to get bait as most of them can be bought at the bait store.. There are some few baits around that you need to make "quests" to get, but it is not terrible hard to do it.
4) There are Float fishing, fly fishing, Feeder rod fishing (bottom), spinning fishing and stick rod fishing. Again the more levels you get and more maps will open to you, there more gear will be available at the gear store.
Running out of bait is not really and option in this game as most of it is really cheap, and the silver you make is plenty to keep you stocked up on baits... "Endgame" gear is ofcourse not cheap, but there are some DLC rods that are really useful, and they are not that expensive to buy if you want to go that way to get good rods fast.
Up to lvl 37, the levels comes pretty quick, but after level 37 it will slow down.
This is by far the best fishing game i have played in my life, and i have been playing alot of different fishing games in my time. In my opinion, this game is definitely worth the money, even if i have used extra on DLC maps and rods.
Enjoy if you decide to but it! :)
I have close to 30 hours into it and still going strong.
And like mentioned above, you will catch fish and will enjoy yourself.
Thanks - Can I check a few things, as I have just started playing and the instructions seem thin on the ground.
1. How do you alter the drag to ease line tension? (looks like this be tied to the mouse scroll wheel - I am using xbox controller)
2. Where do I spend in-game currency to buy bait etc, cant seem to find it?! when I click on the shop it seems to take me to the VIP area?
3. Once I set the float, I cant seem to get the line to sink, no matter where I move the rod?
4. How do I set the float depth?
2. That is in the store. At the starting area it's next to the fish trader. You enter the store same way as you enter the fish trader. For me that is pressing the E key.
3. You might be set to deep. You can also increase the weight of the sinkers from the rod menu. It has a drop down menu to select the weight of the little lead sinkers.
4. Float dept for me is + - keys.
As for float fishing, the float will not stand up and work properly if you have the depth set to low. Check the depth of the place you fish and if it says hit bottom, then adjust the float depth accordingly so it is higher up.
If you press M, you will get the map up. Anywhere you click on that map, will show the depth. Also if you need to fast travel to spawn where the seller and shop is, you can open the map and click on the arrow there.
"Bronzing" (catching every species on the map) a lake will also open up for more fast travel points on the map. Makes it easier to get around. As you progress in levels and open up for more maps, there will be boat stations where you can get a boat if need be.
Thanks for info! At the minute I’m in one peg catching crucian and a boat is stuff of dreams :D
