Oil dont put Cargo to the Station?!
Hi
I use the free Play mode to learn. One Line works 100% as intendet.
The other (total seperate Tracks and Line) does not load any Oil "Barrels" from the Oil Well into the Cargo Train no matter what I do. But just why? What could be the Problem? The Train moves after the select Time to the next Station where there is no Oil either... Thanks

Is the well actually connected to the station?
Is the station at the other end of the track connected to a refinery?
Does the train have the correct wagon type to carry oil?

When you place your stations, make sure that they are actually connected to the industries. Generally, you will see tiny blue "tendrils" attach to roads or industries, and the industry will highlight in white. After you place your stations, if you click on them the industries will highlight in white. If this doesn't happen, then your station isn't connected, even if it's right next to the industry.

Cheers,
Chris.

thanks it seem to fix them self. How can i force the station to deliver 100% of the goods to the next train?

set it to wait until full

Don't offer multiple potential shipment routes - only provide a connection to one consumer, ensure that only one route offers that connection, and if the route isn't just a simple shuttle service you might want to use filters to prevent cargo from moving in undesired directions along it.

set it to wait until full
Wait until full forces the vehicle to wait until it's fully loaded or the maximum wait time is reached; it does not force the station to "deliver 100% of the goods to the next train."

it depends how the line is setup, if it's point to point it will

Setting a train to 'wait until full' will not allow it to collect cargo that has been allocated to another line or to a different stop on the same line, nor will it meaningfully affect how the game allocates cargoes or do much of anything useful when lines connecting steps in a production chain have well-balanced rates. It does not in any sense 'force the station to deliver 100% of the goods to the next train.'

Beyond that, 'wait until full' is not a particularly beneficial order. Trains having to wait for cargo to be produced when your inbound and outbound line rates are well-matched to one another strongly implies that either you're looking at a startup transient - in which case 'wait until full' is going to propagate a delay that would otherwise have only affected the first trainload or two - or you have too much capacity on the line.

I disagree here. I use one of the wait until full - indefinite settings for virtually every cargo line that I setup. I do this because I don't like to see trains running partially full.

It's my understanding that vehicle costs are less while waiting than running, so especially in the early game it makes sense to me to try to maximise income by having a full train.

Cheers,
Chris.

I have only just recently started using the wait until full feature, because there is a relatively new bug that sometimes causes vehicles to leave early when there is more cargo waiting for that line. It generally happens with boats in my experience, but sometimes with trains. I put like a 10 second wait time so that it has as little impact on the vehicle spacing as possible while overcoming the bug.

Other wise I see little use for it myself. I much rather have them run slightly empty, assuming my rate is slightly over the supply, than have my vehicles get bunched up from waiting around.
