The best thing you can do is right click on a block to export it and then edit it inside a 3D software program.
I suggest Blender since it is free and quite powerful, it is quite hard to get a grasp of the software at first but fortunately editing simple single 3D shapes is one of the easiest things to do so it is not impossible to learn for a beginner!
Once you have your 3D shape, you can import it back to bakin and use it as a 3D object and it will be your terrain shaped the way you wanted!
I have used blender for simple modelling, and I'll be honest, this never occured to me. I was going to try to make the whole environment in Blender and then use the object as a map like I saw in a video on old YT.
